Priscila, our next interviewee, is new to swapping! She jumped in with both feet and hosted a swap! Sign up are closed for her Vintage Stocking Swap but I hope her experience is a good one and she hosts many more in the future! Let's welcome Priscila to the swapping community! Visit her at her blog, Casa Bella Chic, and her shop of the same name! If you're into vintage, pink, glitter, shabby chic and cute, she just listed a bunch of super things! (Like the shadowbox below)
SwapDex: Tell me a bit about you.
P: My name is Priscila, I'm 23 years old and a momma to 2 beautiful little boys. Christian is 3 and keeps me on my toes and Carter is 10 months and has the sweetest little smile! I'm originally from Brazil. I left Brazil when I was 5 ( I was adopted) and have lived in San Diego since then. I love anything and everything vintage and love to do crafts with all sorts of vintage materials. I love vintage greeting cards and trims...basically vintage anything!
SD: How long have you been swapping?
P: This is actually my first swap. I saw a lot of the received and sent gifts for Swaps on Flickr and thought it look really fun. I decided to host because I though it would be a way to get more traffic to my blog and to also make some great blogger friends.
SD: That's an excellent point, hosting is a great way to get new people visiting your blog! How did you learn about swapping?
P: I saw a vintage party swap on Flickr. That's the one that really made me step up and host one.
SD: Do you have a signature style for your swaps? Do you decorate your envelopes/packages? Send a card with a personal note?
P: I do and participate in vintage swaps. I think if you are going to send a swap you should decorate the package and put in a note. It just makes it so much more fun and looks more "complete".
SD: What's you favorite type of package to get in the mail?
P: Any! I love getting mail...haha unless its bills
SD: What do you think is the most challenging part of hosting a swap?
P: I found most people didn't want an international partner. So it makes it a little more challenging trying to find the right fit for that person.
SD: What a gracious hostess to try and find just the right partners for each participant! Any advice for someone who is thinking about hosting a swap?
P: Just do it! If you get all worried about it you won't do it. Its a fun thing to participate in!!! Always make a little banner so people can include it in there blog and tell others about.
Thanks so much for taking some time with us, Priscila, and welcome to swapping and hosting! We'll be keeping an eye out for future swaps from your neck of the woods!
Please note the swaps listed are NOT hosted by the SwapDex. Visit each host's site by clicking the underlined link within each post to view further information and sign up.
